Scottish sycamore dining table in a contemporary Scandi style for a steading conversion in the Highlands of Scotland. Made from a tree felled in the client’s garden, the wood was air dried for more than a year, then kiln dried prior to commencing the project. The turned cylindrical legs contrast the more angular frame and sharper top. Traditional mortice and tenon joints are pegged with walnut dowels adding a further contrast in the light and dark woods. The piece reflects both the modern and traditional within the client’s home.
